Then came in to work to start paying for it! This is one sweet, smooth, refined, quiet, super pleasurable vehicle. The standard stereo sounds great, too.
A mechanic at the dealership said that valve adjustment thing is very rarely done. He said if the valves ever start making noise, then they would be adjusted. I'll check the manual on this.
Anyone out there deciding between vehicles, so far, this one has my full endorsement.
Congrats, I thought the vavle adjustment thing was going to change your mind. I know my Honda and Acura have to have vavle adjustments. I am glad you got it. Enjoy...... (Did you sell your Audi?)

Yep, sold the Audi to a friend at bargain price, but still got more than trade value. Wouldn't you know it, my phone rang at work 1 hr after delivery with someone inquiring about the Audi. And I've received 2 more calls on it since then! The car had been advertised for at least a month with only one call!
The valve thing had me concerned, but the Toy sales rep assured me it would probably never need to be done, and he made the comment, it's not like some of the Honda's of a few years ago that require 400.00 dollar valve adjustments.
Call me weird, but I drove my Z3 to work today because we have some very rare sun, but I would much rather have been in the 4Runner!
Here's a good comparison between bmw and toyota... to reset bmw's service light reminder, off to the dealer or buy a Peake research tool. Toyota's... hold a couple buttons down on the dash, and out it goes.
The owner's manual is very informative and well written.
I think the manual is pretty good, but it does have a lot of "WARNING" or "CAUTION" labels on everything. Also, it has very little on self maintaince. Nothing on have to change oil, spark plugs, let alone anything big. It just says, take it to the dealer.
Overall I did learn a lot from the manual, I would give it 4 stars out of five. Anyway, enjoy your 4Runner.

thanks...yeah, it could get into more depth on how to do things, but it's far better than my 95 Audi OM. They obviously only had litigation on their minds and revealed nothing. I think it's hilarious that toyota gets into things like: if you lock your keys in the vehicle, call toyota dealer-if they are not available, break the smallest window as it will be least expensive-and be very careful not to cut yourself!
Wow, an AP V8 Sr5 for 26 something?? I'd hop on that.
My Sr5 4wd is listed at 7000 lb for towing capacity in the owner's manual, by the way. Must be that That Lexus upgrade must be on it.
