I just got back from Slee Off-Road where I bought a set of Spidertrax wheel spacers. I had them install them because I don't have a floor jack or a torque wrench so it was worth the $50 to have them do it. I had already moved the wheel well liner up and done some dremel trimmer per J.A.'s write-up on his website, so I have not experienced any rubbing yet.
Sorry for the poor quality cell phone pics, but here is a straight on, low angle shot.
The spacers give it a much better stance without it looking
too wide. From the side, it also makes the tires look a bit wider because it now fills out the wheel well and fender flares much better. So, below are a series of pics from bone stock to where I am now. I'll hopefully be getting a full suspension lift sometime later in the summer and possibly move up to 285's at the same time.....
Bone stock.....
265/70/R17 Revo's added.....
1" Toytec front spacer lift added.....
Spidertrax wheel spacers added.....
As you can tell by the progression, they are all pretty subtle changes individually, but the end product looks much better than stock. I have a few better pics, but I wanted to show the apples-to-apples comparison with my crappy cell phone pics in my driveway to keep everything in perspective.
