Thanks! I will try and take some more pics this weekend. No spacers just the shocks in the front. Shocks for the rear and coils all around will come later along with new UCAs as I lift it a little higher and plan out accessories.

Thanks! I'll post more pics this weekend. Sorry still new to using forums. I joined back in 2018 shortly after I bought the 4R but life got in the way of building it. No spacers. Completely stock in the back. Just the 5100s in the front. Will be trimming the inner wheel wells this weekend to put a stop to the slight rubbing.

Finally upgraded

I went with Bilstein 6112’s up front. 5160’s in the rear with Bilstein FJ coil springs. The UCA’s were upgraded to Total Chaos. I didn’t find any local swaps so I ordered the Bilstein’s brand new from Wheeler’s off-road. I very much appreciate Bilstein’s quality and low price compared to other brands. After the body mount chop, I threw on SCS SR8 wheels with Falken Wildpeak’s 285/70/R17.

My Goodyear wrangler DuraTracs that were only 6 months old went to my junior Marine that was in desperate need of tires.

Please excuse the pictures as resizing rotates the pictures when I try to upload them.

I have not lifted yet, but I thought this would be useful info. I got these Falken Wildpeak ATW/3's on my 2008 and contrary to a lot of what I read, I still had to make some modifications to fit. They are 265/70R17. They required trimming the front bumper and moving the liner forward. And behind the front tire required hammering and bending the pinch weld behind the mudflap. May not be required with the lift.

Some knock off brand called ACANII I think on Amazon for like 220 bucks. Pretty happy with them though. A few weeks of heavy rain and no moisture in them yet.

Lol. Love the tight close-ups. Big fan of these wheels (also the F5's... but I agree they are now VERY popular, which makes me somewhat less interested in them).

'06 V8 with 5th Gen springs/shocks. 1" Cornfed spacer on the front. 255/75/17 Duratracs. No rubbing so far. I think I still want another inch higher on the front, I have a 2" spacer I may swap in. The rims were pretty beat up so I sprayed some Duplicolour wheel paint in them with a matte clear.

Looks nice.

Is that not a 4x4? Im surprised you can get a 2WD in canada. Here in the northern untired states, difficult to find one from a dealership thats 2wd, though used dealers usually start to import older vehicles from down south, so maybe that one is originally from southern US?

It's 4x4. No 2wd were available at dealerships in Canada so I hear. When I first started looking into the 4Runner I was surprised to learn there was a 2wd option. Seems like all SUV's should have some sort of 4x4 or AWD option if you ask me.

I have only had this for about 6 months ans love it. Spent over a year looking for the right one. I came from an X5 with 350,000km and overly expensive broken gadgets on it. The 4Runner is way more truck like in the ride but I like it a lot.

Ahh gotcha - yea I was surprised when looking at the badging - usually they say 4x4 next to sport runner badging. Let us know any updates

Tires Update

Howdy,

How are you still liking those Falkens? I need to replace the GY Silent Armors on my 07 LTD, going back to the same stock size. These are looking like a good option.

Thanks,
Ben

Will get more pics of the final build!
Did this set up retain the factory rake, or did it level it out?

Thanks!
