Replacing Fog light lens

I'm trying to replace the fog light lens (whole assembly) on the drivers side of my 2004 4Runner. I took the two screws out but it doesn't seem to be coming out no matter how hard I pull or push. I don't want to break anything and was wondering if there is something I'm missing.

Thanks!

I know LOL. I've been scoping out Ebay for a while and snagged one for $100.

that must be used. I just seen some for as low as $60 but a new one $160 & up. I'm thinking of getting couple used ones and will try to retrofit 2.5" HID projector in there as my winter project. Not sure if that even possible due to size limitation but I'm not very happy with performance of these stock fog projectors even with HIDs

Main problem with them I think is frosted lens, its not clear and my TSX lows have cristal clear lenses and it sure makes differene in light intensity

Im was trying to get the lenses off my 06 (which are different than yours) and I don't think it's possible . Seems like they are sealed on.

One would think the projector fogs would offer better light output, but they do not appear to in comparison to the halogens. Why is that?

I realize this is a very old thread, but not having much luck with my searches. Anyone have any links to descriptions or videos explaining how to replace the fog light housings? The bulbs are fine, but I bought a new pair of housings and I'm curious if there are any good tips to replacing them. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

I can't see to figure out how exactly the lens housing itself is secured into place. I found one bolt that I'm not sure how to remove. Has anyone tried this? Were you able to do without removing the bumper?

I'm wondering if I didn't bite off more than I can chew.

Attached are some photos I took of the left-hand fog light housing. I can only make out one vertically oriented bolt, but not sure how to take it out. Anyone have any thoughts?

I was unable to open your PDF. Not sure what year your truck is, but mine is an '09, and I just replaced mine yesterday. If yours is '06-'09, you'd need to remove the outside black plastic molding/trim by pressing the 4 tabs which attach it to humper; these are accessed from inside bumper next to fog housing; in attached picture, it's that black thingy halfway down green arrow, as indicated in pic. You then disconnect light blub socket, and try to wiggle housing pushing forward. Housing is not held by any screws, but there're a couple of tabs you may need to pry out, one at time, while pushing housing forward. In attached pic, green arrow is pointing to that tab you could pry out with a screwdriver. To install, start from front and just push housing in until it's seated, very simply.

Thank you so much! You just saved me labor charges to have the dealership do the install. Thanks to your photo and description, I was able to figure it out. The vertically oriented screw that forms part of the assembly was a portion of my confusion, but in short I was able to get both new fog light housings installed and they look absolutely fantastic. I may have to get some better LED bulbs, but for now they both look really bright and clear!
