New Owner of Limited '08
Hi everybody, I just want to say that I am a proud owner of a 2008 Limited Edition. And all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!! Even my wife loves it!!! She's quite surprised on how smooth the ride is compared to one that we have tried about 8 years ago. Probably because it came with the XREAS sport enhancement suspension. I don't know and I don't really care because I JUST LOVE IT!!!
I ordered a pair of Power Acoustiks headrest dvd player for the kids because we are planning on using this car a lot.
We actually bought it in preparation for towing a boat which we are planning on buying early next year.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell somebody about how happy I am. Did I mention that I LOVE IT???!!!

congrats on the purchase? also is the 4runner a v6 or a v8, its nice to have the x reas too, also if u upgrade the sway bar bushings both front and back to some poly urathane ones it improves the handling more.

Nice choice, congrats and welcome!
My wife and I really noticed a difference with the XREAS too - much smoother. If you have XREAS and it's a Limited, then you also have the Air Adjust Ride height control. You'll like that for towing, it level the load out perfectly every time (although it doesn't compensate for an unbalanced load, so tow safely and within the vehicles limits).
Let's see some pics!

Thanks so much everybody. I have the V6. That's my compromise with my wife. She insists we don't have a need for a V8 for 2 reasons. First, is that the boat that we are planning on buying is only 2,800 lbs with the trailer (It's a sea-doo). Second, V8 consumes more gasoline. So being a good husband, I compromised.

I don't think I have this. How do I check if I have it?

You would know if you had it. There would be height control buttons on your center console, next to DAC. Just b/c you have x-raes doesnt mean you have height control function.

Did this option change in '08? I thought in '07 and earlier, in order to have XREAS in a Limited it was packaged with the height control - you couldn't have one without the other. Sorry if I was mistaken on that.

That may be, but my point is that it was more smooth with XREAS, without a doubt. We test drove both several times and when we would hit rough spots in the road (railroad tracks etc.) it was noticeably smoother with XREAS.

You are absolutely right. Everytime I see another 4runner with an accessory that I don't have, I keep thinking how good it would look on my car

I have an 07 with XREAS and no air-ride suspension.

The air suspension package was only available with the V8 - I suspect because of the higher tow ratings. I have pretty much the same vehicle as the OP - and love it.
