Automatic windows not so automatic... :(

I just recently noticed that the Auto up / down feature of the driver's window and rear glass is no longer working. Both go up and down just fine when you depress the button... The rear glass won't go down via the remote... goes down fine with the dash switch held down....

any ideas? Is there a fuse or something for this?

Yes, re-initialize your windows as instructed in the link above. It just takes a couple of minutes. You might also need to follow the instructions for your sunroof if you have one.

Apparently, I'm the suckiest forum searcher here... Thanks for the help, guys. Had the battery disconnected for a while over the weekend. It's fixed....

Isn't it great when the solution to a problem is as simple as re-initializing the windows?!

I am betting if I had this problem and I had taken my 4Runner to my local Dealers Service Dept. They would have charged me $50 or more to reset them. when many who do their own oil changing or have someone not their Toyota Dealer change it, when they hit 5K and the service engine light comes on. You can bet if you don't know the process with the odometer to reset it, and you go to your local Toyota Dealer it will cost you to get it reset. To me it's a Toyota scam to force you into your Toyota's Service Dept. want to or not
