Windshield wiper spray vs stream

Does Toyota make a spray nozzle for windshield wiper fluid rather than the 3-stream one that comes stock? Those things put out more fluid than the water in my shower and generally has crappy coverage on the windshield. Does anyone have suggestions?

Funny stuff. I am now subscribed to this thread. It is one of my pet peeves with this vehicle. My '05 Durango had a nice even spray across the whole windshield. With the 4Runner, sometimes I can even see where the three jets hit the windshield because thats the only place that gets hit! I guess its a good thing that these are the type of complaints we can come up with the way vehicles are currently coming off the line.

I too would prefer a spray rather than the jets. Tag for updates.

Yeah I see the marks to on the window from the jets. I don't see why we couldn't take some washers off another vehicle. Maybe the Lexus may have some sprayers with a crap.

My 2004 Camry and 2005 Tacoma have the spray/fan pattern nozzle jets. You could probably give your local dealer a try and order the nozzle jets from either one of those.

Coincidentally, those two are made here in the States. Not sure if that has anything to do with the different nozzle jets. Ironically, those two also have the mist wiper function which is lacking on the 4Runner, yet the 4Runner was the most expensive of the three.

I imagine a 2005 Taco sprayer would be easy to install on the 4Runner. Can anyone find it on Partznet?

TONs of aussies did this over on pradopoint. Its a simple swap with their Hilux over there so the Taco ones should work fine on the 4R here in the land of the free.

I personally like the 6 shots.

$13.66 x 2.

I'll try to post pics and a bit of a write up when they come.

Pradopoint is a forum for 4runners in Austrailia (they are called Prado's down there)

I ordered from Partznet, which has a banner ad at the very top of this page. I ordered two 85381-0K010 .

If I were you I would wait until I get it and make sure they work. I'll be sure to post my results.

The Taco sprayers do NOT fit our 4Runners. The Taco sprayers have a 90 angle on the hose bib which is incompatable with the 4Runner hood.

Our hoods have two layers, and if you try to use the Taco sprayer with the 90, the hose kinks against the inner part of our hood and it just doesn't work. To make them work you need to cut away part of the inner hood.

I'll post some pics to show the difference. Sorry they are from my phone.
