"XM Ready" Head-Unit

If I replaced my current head unit with an XM-Ready one, would I still have to purchase the huge satelitte radio units? I really hate the look of those things and would just like to have a CD-player and XM unit all-in-one.

Nope. The XM unit will be a small sized box you'll need to hide somewhere in the dash or under a seat, or in the trunk etc. The only thing visible will be your separate XM antenna.

I feel your pain. I ordered a Roady2, but its backordered. I replaced the factory HU as well. I am planning on hiding the XM-receiver in the flip-out part of the armrest. There is one receiver out there that only needs an antenna. It’s the Apline CDA-9820XM. The XM-receiver is built into the HU, but it can not play MP3s.
