also, they owner tells me that there is only one key and key fob. i'm going to the dealer and getting another key. is there anyway to tell if they key is a master or a valet? i believe they need a master to program another key.

My valet key is a gray color but you have to look real close. Also you could just put the suspected valet key in the glove box hole. If it opens you know it's not the valet key

The homelink does not come standard in the SR5 package, but you can order it separately and install yourself. I have the 2008 Sport and it also does not have homelink as standard.

some advise - you should check eBay for the KeyFob and the HomeLink - you will pay a LOT less than from dealer. I replaced my upper console with one that has HomeLink for $49 + shipping, also got a second keyfob for $31 + shipping. There are instructions for programming a keyfob here on forum, it is easy. Don't think there is any way around dealer for the key.

BTW - noticed that your two posts above were your first, nobody has said it yet so I shall issue my first "welcome to the forum" as I have not been here long myself

For the Homelink, check Concielli (I think that's how it's spelled) Toyota in Conshohocken, PA. I bought a new Homelink for my 2004 SR5 last year and they had best online price for a new one that I could find. I recall it was about $80 or $90. Everyone else wanted $100+
