2009 4runner Trail Edition - any owners on here?

I have never seen ACTUAL photos of the 2009 4runner Trail Edition.

I searched autotrader 500 mile radius from my house and did not find ANYTHING.

Seems like there are very few units out there.

I would just like to see pictures of this rig, not toyota website photos since I seen those already.

I would like to see a pic of the Tom Tom navi unit as well.

Just curious if we have any 2009 Trail Edition owners on here?

Bought mine on March 29,2009, two days before CA raised the sales tax and license fee. Here's the Tom-Tom--I don't like it, too small and hard to read when driving. Makes a great Audio display for my Ipod, CD and radio.

Sure, these are just after I picked it up. the Avatar shot was taken near BSA Camp Lost Valley outside Temecula, CA. I have not seen any other TE's on the road, and only a few Urban Runners.

Here's mine in Shadow Mica.

The stock Eclipse/TomTom nav unit isn't that great.. It's going to be replaced sooner than later. Also, the stock Michelin Cross Terrain tires are also not very 'trail grade'. They're great city/street tires but not very off-road oriented.

Other than those minor things it's still a great truck. It does comes with the same Bilstein shocks that come on the FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition. And you can't beat the rear e-locker + A-TRAC combo!

I think they are a pretty scarce item to find . Not many 09's were ever here at our dealers of any kind SR5/Sport/Limited , much less trying to find a TE. I've only seen 1 in person.

Congrats to those who have one lucky buggers

Looks great in Shadow Mica.
Mine came with the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20's, I've already replaced them--with Michelin Latitude Tour (I know, its not a great off road tire, but I will add a separate set of off-roads later), but the AT20's were not good in rapid freeway driving--about 80% of my on-road use. I would have like to have the Cross Terrains--had them on my '05 Explorer, but were not available.
I agree about the TomTom. I like the screen for my Ipod and radio displays, but rarely use the nav (only to find a subdestination--Costco Gas in Bakersfield for example. I prefer my Nuvi and have mounted it using a proclip attachment on the left center vent.

I agree. I haven't seen any TE's around here. I would love to own one of those!

When I started seeing the prices of the new Trail Edition, I decided to look for used '09 models for sale. Only one I found was in Columbus Ohio, over 300 miles away from me in the DC area, and they were asking over $34k for one with some thousands of miles on it.

I think it's a fairly rare truck.

Don't have the part number, but it's a Toyota accessory. Your local dealership should have it.

If not, 1sttoyotaparts.com has it for $114.

There is one on the lot at Kool Toyota in Grand Rapids. I think it was a demo, has a little over 4K on it.
