Myself I would want to know a lot more about the material used and just who and where it's Mfg.. Also what DOT Codes if any this wheel meets. Also any loading data would be helpful. Was this wheel inspected? and how was it done?

Just beware of the color. I have the American Racing ATX's and in some light the wheels have a gray tinge to them- ok well more than a tinge, they look grey. It's the teflon coating that throws the light more than just a regular black. I highly recommend calling around and seeing if you can go see a wheel and possibly put it up to your 4runner in the daylight to see how it looks. I still look at my wheels sometimes and get pissed for not knowing this

Mojave's are good wheels. 17x8 with 0 offset is ideal for fitting larger tires. Are you doing this for aesthetic reasons or for function? The teflon look is cool and will look good on a black truck. One report showed during wheeling, the finish scratched off, refinishing may be a bit of a problem trying to match the teflon black look.

thanks, guys! i really appreciate the feedback. it's nice to hear from others who already have them.

and i am going for function. i do have every intention of getting them dirty so that's a good piece of info on the coating.

I like the wheels that came on my 4Runner. They seem to work well so I don't think I will blow my money on another set of wheels. I would rather buy another AR15 and more Ammo. for it.

American Racing has been making wheels for quite some time. I've never heard of people having any abnormal problems with them. Now, Weld on the other hand....

You just need to measure the backspacing of your current wheel and make sure that this new wheels doesnt suck your tire in too much. Offset is a difficult number to measure (I sure as hell cant find the centerline of the wheel easily from the inside)...

Get in contact with some wheel shops.. When my wheel fell off after a brake job @ Firestone- the "gentlemen" there were so "kind" as to give me a list of wheels I could choose from; due to my wheel that fell off being destroyed and discontinued. So go to like a Discount Tire, go on tirerack.com (altho I think their wheel selection sucks), and if worst comes to work just ASK Firestone for recomendations on wheel vendors they use in your area and I'm sure they would tell you yay or nay.
