Another 4LO flashing problem

Hey Folks:

I bought my 2005 V8 Limited from the dealership about a month ago. It has 115000KM. This weekend I was playing with the 4HI to 4LO and I noticed the 4LO would just keep flashing and would not engage. Any ideas?

Some more information. The differential lock works when on 4HI. However when I put it into the 4LO the light flashes and there is no sound of the 4LO trying to engage. WTH I bought a Toyota because they have super quality. Don't tell me this is going to cost 2K+ to fix.

Did you try backing up, stopping, putting it into neutral, and then trying 4LO?

Does it make any difference if the drivetrain is cold or warmed up?

Make sure you are in neutral. Try what Scoobs suggests. Is it under warranty? Is it Certified? Maybe you can take it back to the dealer where you bought it and see if they will help.

resurrecting the thread

Hi Folks,
I have a flashing 4Lo but with no beeping. I think my actuator works cause I can hear the "clack" and when driving it feels in 4LO (way slow).

What could be happening if it works but blinks?
