Exclamation Headlamps Headlamps Projector Headlamps

As I know there have been many threads on headlamps. I searched them all, I think. Well here is my problem. I had bought some aftermarket 06-09 Projector Headlamps back about a year ago. They are just crappy, let's put it that way. And I haven't been happy with the beam pattern from the start. Well that's a lie cause I was happy to have done this on my own and before I found this forum. Now I know better. Please let this be a lesson to those that think about buying any aftermarket projectors as they are not worth a flashlight lens.

Now down to it. I was just going to get the OEM from eBay. Please check out the link. It seems a good price for NEW OEM Headlamp. I know that I can get better lens later if I like but not likely as they are really high dollar. So the ones that are listed are SPORT EDITION and it list that will not fit SR5 or limited and should be smoked colored inside, correct? My 4RNR is a 2003 Limited, won't they still fit, aren't they all the same? How much are they smoked inside and does anybody have some pics cause I'm having a hard time finding a picture to match. I also want to know if you all think the SPORT EDITION smoked will look good on my Satin Silver?, if they will fit.

Thanks to all,l I really need some help making my mind up as I want to keep running HIDS and not go back to the old 2003 ones that came with my truck. Really want OEM stuff.

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I have OEM 2006+ sport edition lights in my 2004 SR5. I specifically wanted the sport ones because they are smoked inside. Thats the only difference.

And is that for 2? 220 bones is awfully high for a single, even 'new' on ebay. I'd just go and get it from partznet or a similiar dealer who has good prices. I paid about 240 for both (seperate auctions) on ebay with shipping. I waited awhile though as the sport don't come up as often.

And the smoked, is just a little darker chrome. I like it, its a subtle accent, but most people don't even notice there is a difference. But be careful if you're buying seperate auctions on ebay, cause you might end up with one sport and one chrome light.

pay the premium for the oem headlamp from toyota, aftermarket copies are just as bad of all non oem parts. u get wat u paid for. suggest u take apart that aftermarket headlamp u have and retrofit an oem hid projector, like the s2000 or the tsx.

Can one of you guys with the 2006 projectors in your 03 - 05 4Runners post pictures? I've heard there's a gap near the top, and am having troubles finding a picture...

Well as far as the asking part. You nailed it with the slight smoke on the sport headlights. I just want to get rid of these aftermarket POS headlights and get some OEM. I know there has got to be somewhere I can get the OEM ones for cheaper than the stealership. My luck at finding them has come up short so far.

PoldManiac here is a pic of the drivers side. Dirty and taken with my Blackberry but you can see the small space. I did have a stainless bolt in the mounting hole on the bumper filler but hadn't put it back in yet. The bumper fillers snap into the headlight bottom and slide into the fender, so it's not going anywhere.

As for the gap at the top... i don't have one. They fit just like the 03-05 all but the inside corners have that hole cause the 06+ have a different grill.

I found this site on one of the forums I was looking at.

http://certifit.com/

I'm not sure if the items they sell are TRUE OEM, but their prices are REALLY good if you have one in your area.
