Aux. Switch in 4th Gens.

Anyone have any pics of how you did the on/off switch for your driving/fog lights? Mainly in the 4th gens. Thanks!

I added the switch that is on this thread. Have an extra one if you want it $12 plus shipping. Also you can check out the new switch on the 05 Tacoma, better match to the 4th Gen push button switch.

Thanks for mentioning that on the 05 Tacoma switch......I didn't realize that's what that thread was about.
I wonder how long it will be until those switches are available??
The one you have -- does it fit into the blank where the plug is now? Any pics of it installed?

I would think those switches would be available any time now. Don't have a pic of mine installed but it looks something like this. Call a parts dept. and ask for the Taco switch would hurt.

those switches should be available once the truck is on the lot. if not, just order one and they'll be able to get one for ya.

nobody has photos of it as the switch itself is not available yet. expect the switch to fit on the left dash in the open slot area.

good luck

Thanks Biff......I found that after you mentioned the "Tacoma Switch". Looks good......hopefully it will work and won't cost too much.
I asked Toyota about a switch before and they looked up the one that is supposed to go on the 4Runner in that same area.....$75 for it! Not sure what it was suppose to operate originally, but I would sure hate for that switch to go out! Needless to say, I would find another switch.

I think thats the trac off switch, Toyota doesn't make one for the runner for aux. lights. The Tacoma switch is your best bet or the first one I showed you. The dealer sells them for $20

I bet the switch doesn't have an internal light to tell you when it's active. Like the rest of the 4th gen switches it probably depends on a dash indicator light to let you know what's going on.

I love the look and might buy one just to see how it works, but it would be nice to have an internal light in the switch to let you know when it's on. Especially for the DRL application like I'm thinking of.
