Need Help...Warning lights just on???
Hello All,
As always at the worst time my check engine light, VSC-Trac, VSC-off,and the slippery road light all came on this afternoon. I'm hoping that this is a scam to take it to the dealer for my 60k service...I have 59,6xx on my 2005 v6 Limited 4wd. Everything seem to be ok but i was wondering if this is ok to drive 150 miles tomorrow as i have a must be at function and have to leave the house by 6am.
I just did a search and yes i made sure that the gas cap was on tight...I even cycled it a few times to make sure. Lights still on.
Any help would be great thanks
Dave

Have you change anything for example like the airfilter ?...I am asking because mine did the same thing a couple of times a few months ago and it had the oil and the flush recently done when that happened up to date on all services. The first time it went away then the second time it stayed on for a couple of days,I freaked out and was about to take the truck to the dealer and get charge who knows how much just to check that out.... but then I remembered that I had installed myself an K&N filter so popped up the hood and found out that the cover was not tighten correctly. After fixing that the lights went off. So If your are on top of your maintenance and u dont notice any change on the driving...it could be something loosen. Just sharing my own experience.

JAC- I do the majority of the stuff myself but nothing is different. The only thing different on the truck is that I just got new tires other than that its all normal. I cant figure it out? I'll call the dealership in the am and go from there. I have a feeling they will charge me a arm and a leg!

Unplug the battery for an hour or so, the Yaw Sensor is surprisingly sensitive and sometimes needs to be reset after a lift/increase in tire size.

I just got back from my running around like crazy, went to the dealer and they wanted 60.00 just to read the error codes...NO WAY! So i was off to Advanced Auto for a free error code read, it came back as a evap leak (Gas Cap) code. I madesure the gas cap was tight and cycled the motor about 10 times since then but the lights are still on? I'll take the - and + off the bat for a while and see where that takes me. I know that everything is OK but i just hate the lights on.
I'll give more feed back later...
