[pictures]...Removing Running Boards Bad Idea

...as time goes by, I kinda like the looks w/o them. I keep them on for my mom & remove them when I go offroading. I'm getting closer to ordering some Demello Bolt-On Sliders...

So far today I have gone outside twice to remove the running boards. Each time I get positioned under the truck and decide not to.
I think some look good with them removed and some look bad. I know I could just remove one side and see for myself but I just can't decide.

Soooo easy to do. Took a total of 10 minutes. Putting them back on im sure is a little more difficult... but with 2 people should be just as easy. To me, 4runners without running boards look somewhat lifted. I can't wait till I get my 3" lift put on...

I dont know why somebody would want to do that, its a most usefull part of the truck, I us it everyday, dozens of times. Without them you have to be a gymnast to crawl inside. I can see some people get rid of them for offroading. Particulary Limiteds have nice looking color matched set with aftermarket LEDs looks not as plain and boring as without them

I like the looks of the 4R w/o them, keep in mind though; If you have a girlfriend or wife, they will likely complain.
I reinstalled mine.

I'm about to remove mine, as my truck isn't lifted and is still on 265/65/16 tires. The truck is low enough to the ground that they aren't actually needed, and they're so narrow that I don't use them getting out - when it snows I just end up getting salt all over my uniform around the calves. It becomes a pain in the a** after a while.

2 hours later (removed by hand), they're gone. The truck looks much better, I no longer get salt all over my legs when getting in/out of it, and there's less space for the snow/ice to accumulate. :-)

How do I remove my fourth gen boards?
Really like the way these all look with running boards removed.
Could someone who has successfully done so tell me what tools I need/steps I need to do it? I have a 2008 SR5. Thanks!
