keyless entry problem...front door wont lock

I've searched the forum, but didnt see a similar problem. i have a 2008 with factory keyless entry. when i press the lock button on the remote, all doors lock except the drivers door. and, when i press the lock button on the remote, you can hear all doors trying to keeping locking a couple more times. when i press the unlock button, all doors unlock, normal beeping sounds, and lights come on. no issues with the unlocking feature.

one other thing. when i put the car in reverse, the doors try to lock like normal and all do except the drivers door. and again, you can hear the doors trying to lock a couple more times.

i havent done anything to the car except add HIDs. I've had them for quite a while and havent had any issues related to them. ive checked the fuses and none are bad. i disconnected the battery and left it for an hour. and there is no corrosion around the battery terminals so i think there is a good connection.

any ideas???

I had the same problem when i bought my 4Runner. Fortunetly i had just purchased it so i took it back to the stealership and they fixed everything for free! They took the drivers door panel off and ended up replacing the actuator for the lock and everything worked fine. It was super inconvient because i had this new car and i didn't want to take it anywhere because i didn't want to leave it unlocked. Im not sure if there is any DYI fix for it, but if you are the adventurous type then might as well take the door panel off and see if there is any obvious reason why its not working. such as wires that are connected or dirty connections or something like that.
