Trading in your 4th Gen?
Anyone feel compelled to trade in your 4th Gen for the 5th Gen?
In any regard, if you surf the Toyota webpage, they have 2 "hot" options for the T4R. They include a TRD oil cap and TRD radiator cap.
Toyota 4Runner Accessories
I wonder if this oil cap will fit the 4th Gen.

They make a TRD oil cap to fit the 4th gen. I really feel sorry for anyone who feels much obligated to buy the TRD Radiator cap, though!

I may consider trading in my 2004 V8 for a newer Sequoia. (05+) I may need 3 rows of seating soon. Either that or a 07+ Suburban.

I wouldn't want to give up my V8 so no!
At this point in time, if I was trading, it would probably be for a crossover SUV. Don't worry, I am not giving up the 4Runner anytime soon.

I might add headers, CAI, exhaust, super charger a 3" lift, sliders, 35" tires, heavy bumpers and a whole lot more to my '04 before moving over to the 5th Gen 4rnr.
I'm happy with my current mods and just added a V1 .

I've got 90k miles on my 03 V8 Limited 4WD. I wouldn't want to lose my V8 or the Torsen. Of the 2010 trim lines, I prefer the looks of the TE, but would need the Torsen (and other features) of the Limited.
But mostly, my '03 is paid for, and I'm hoping to get another 90k miles out of it before I need to buy a new vehicle. Maybe 4 years from now when I get the house paid off (God willing and the Creek don't rise).

No. I'm keeping the 4th for a long time, by then we might see the 6th.

Yeah, me too. I'll probably skip a generation and then see what the 6th looks like. Hopefully there will be a 6th generation and it won't be a unibody, IRS car like the Highlander.
My 4th gen is only at 35,000 miles, so I got a long way to go before I need a new one! The only thing that would have made me trade in on a 5th gen is if I really liked the styling, but of course that's the reason I'm keeping the 4th gen!

I've entirely skipped the 4th gen so maybe my next Runner will be a 5th gen but I like having no car payments right now. 4th gens are ok and maybe a locker equipped '09 TE would be alright but the 5th gen's other off road gizmos tip the scale and 5th gens won't be everywhere like 3rd and 4th gens are here in Colorado.
