Peeling paint-what are my options?

I've got one or two spots where the paint is beginning to peel. I discovered this while washing the car, a strip of paint came off. I've sanded the edges of the peel to try to prevent spreading. This spot is on the passenger side mirror. The drivers side mirror has a couple spots that appear to be starting to peel. This is just on the mirror, so it probably wouldn't cost a lot to repaint, but I'd like to touch it up and stop it from peeling further if possible. Any suggestions on how to go about touching up the spot? I'd say it's 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" long. Here's a pic showing where the damage is at:

I had this same paint peeling off plastic problem, with another non Toyota SUV. They wanted $180 just to repaint a door handle.

I went to PepBoys found a close match can of spray paint, masked off the handle and applied a few coats slowly allowing each coat to dry.

You could not tell it from the original paint, traded it in on my 08 4Runner, no one even detected my spray can paint job.

Touch up paint? That area may be a little too big though. If I'm not mistaken, Toyota makes touch up paint for the exact color of you model too.

If you want to get off cheap get yourself some 800 grit wetsanding paper and wetsand the area smooth, mask off the area and use a spray paint thats made to stick to raw plastic! 3 coats with 5-10 mins between coats should do it! The hardware or auto parts store will probly have it. I think Duplicolor`s version is called Fusion!

That's good advice I agree.

I'd like to give the OEM touch up paint a try. Where is the best place to get it? I wasn't aware that it was available.
