Brightest LED Turn Signal Bulbs
So I'm near completing my LED mod on my Runner and need a little input on LED turn signal bulbs. So, who has THE brightest bulbs (in your opinions) out there.
I've looked at V-LEDS, Superbrightleds.com etc. They all say they have the best and brightest but I would like to hear your testimonials.
BTW, they are 7440's front and rear right? I had DRL's until I disabled them.

I'm dead serious, I tried them all but when it comes to turn bulb nothing among LEDs beats OEM

LED turn bulb really doesn't work that great. So I've gone back to halogen after a couple of coworkers commented that I never signal on the highway (which I religiously do).

Interesting. Looking at the so call "super bright" bulbs on V-leds.com that cost 50 bucks a pair, I would hate to drop a 100 bucks on 2 pairs and be disappointed.

An '05 has a 4157 (3157) bulb for the front turn signals (w/running lights) and 7440 in the rear. There is not a really bright rear LED bulb but for the front there is, here is a pic of the bulb from Superbrightleds.com. Also, here is a pic of my '06 with the same type bulb in the daytime running lights/ turn signals (when my bumper was messed up) during the day; have pics of them at night on the second to last page or last page of the lift.tire pics thread. They are great but make sure to get a resistor so they don't blink really fast. I would leave the stock rear bulb because with it your really not going to get a good light output with the LED's

I did notice that when I replaced the reverse bulbs with 20 SMT led's, they are not very bright during the day, but look frickin great at night!
I was toying with the idea of making up a set with 10mm high wattage LED bulbs.

The Putco Nova LED bulbs are the brightest automotive LED turn signal bulbs in the market.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one, mine are the same set up with more LED's, if you look at my previous post and the pic at the bottom you will see that.

Autbond - I am confused. Are you disagreeing because you believe that your bulbs are brighter given the number of LEDs that you have on them? Putco uses high power LED diodes to get the brightest possible output. The fact that you have more LED diodes on your bulb would only be relevant if the quality of the LED diodes is equal to the ones Putco uses which I highly doubt.
mysticz - riceandpho is correct. You would need to get a 7440 LED bulb to upgrade your rear turn signals to LED.
