I washed my car today and very shortly after noticed a grinding or rattling while hitting the breaks . I then shortly after felt a rattling underneath my feet when hitting the breaks. This all happening at a very low speed.
I thought it may be the Emergency break sticking, but I never had it engaged to begin with, so I pushed it in and out to ensure its release.
After the breaks warmed up a bit, the problem went away.
Any ideas?
I just had the stock 17's replaced with Limited 18's yesterday and new tires.
What the hell!!

Maybe the tire installers bent one of your brake shields just a little bit.

Well, Im pretty sure I know what the culprit is. The tires are 265/70 R18. The edge of the tire will hit the control arm when I hit the breaks when the steering wheel is cranked: see photos
