Rear Window not Working??

Hey Guys. For this first time tonight I tried the remote auto up and down feature for the rear window. It did not work at all. ALl I hear is the beep, but no action.

Then I tried it also with the key thinking the remote probable needs to be programmed or something and that did not work either!!??! What gives?

I would hate to take it to the dealer just for this fix that will proabably be all day at the dealer

Were you trying to roll the window up or down? I believe the 2005 model is the same as 2003 -- you can roll the window down with the remote, but not up.

first check to see if you can roll down you rear pasenger windows, the switch by the windoews might have locked the rear windows. also check it you can roll it up with your key in the tailgate.

Damn wife....it was the switch. I am a dumbass. I guess it works with remote down only not up. You have to use the key to have it go up and down.

At least it was something simple and you didn't have to take it in!

Talking Yeah, that happened to me once

On the way back from DH biking at Killington, VT last year, I stopped at a gas station with friends ti fill up, had to jump a minivan, and when I got back in, the only functional window was the drivers side. WTF!!??

So I drive all the way to Okemo Mt for dinner with my windows down, thinking that there was a blown fuse somewhere in the truck. After futzing for about 10 minutes at the restaraunt, I finally realize I had hit the D%$@ lock button. Did I feel stupid. I only had the truck for two weeks at that point and didn't know what everything did.

Lesson learned, "If all else fails, read the instructions".

Been there too - had my dad round and thought I would show off the new car - opened the rear window with the remote then got in the front to close it - would not close - ten minutes (with him laughing himself silly) before I realised the windows lock affects the rear window also!!

window safety switch

The 'safety' on/off window up/down switch will also control the rear window. If you have it activated, the rear window will not go up or down. I found that out the hard way.

That is hilarious. I hate wind noise, so your story really got a laugh out of me.

well my rear outer weatherstripping that runs across the bottom of the window has disintegrated.. i took it apart.. rolled down the window from the inside, it was fine.. I roll it up.. and proceeded to scrape the ever living shit out of my tint!!!!

took me all of 3 minutes to ruin that...

So ordered a new weather strip hopefully fix the issue, then I will retint the back window.... fantastic.
