I'm starting a build on my '03 SE V6 and am picking the tires that I would like to use. I'll likely do 3"-3.5" suspension lift and don't mind doing a 1.5" BL also if that would help get some bigger tires under my 4Runner. What I am wondering is what point does the tire size start limiting suspension travel and steering? I would like to run at least a true 33" but want to keep the full steering range if possible. How large can I go? Maybe narrow and tall is better? Could I run a 285/75/17 and not have problems with the stock steering stops or have to lower the bump stops?
