The V8s have already arrived at several dealerships and should start arriving at others throughout the country next week.

Since there is such a big price difference it would be nice to see the standard equipment difference between the SR5/SE and Limited. Example the MSRP price difference between model 8686 and Model 8688 is $5000, what is the equipment that you get on the limited that makes it worth more then the Sport Edition??? The SE comes with the Reas shock system, larger front rotors and better looking wheels and hood then the Limited, why is the Limited priced MSRP $5000 more??? Leather?, it's got to be more than that???

Leather and little stuff

Yeah, they do rape on the price for the Limited. It comes standard with a few more standard little things, I used to remember what the difference was back in 2003. Stuff like 120 Volt outlet, power front passenger seats, homelink system, lighted vanity mirrors, heated outside mirrors, dual auto temp controls rear seat audio, general tidbits like that. I don't know about the 2005's.

When I bought mine, I wanted an interior that would resist dirt (mountain biking), so I wanted leather. And the resale of course will be bit higher. But I plan on keeping the truck for at least 6 years. So it was really a personal decision of what I would be driving a few hours a day.

If I had to do over, and could get exactly what I wanted and not pay for it, I would eliminate only a couple things like the 120 Volt inverter, which I haven't ever used, dual temp climate control, never used it either, and rear seat audio. Other than that I'm happy with the features it has.

Sounds like the best deal would be to buy the Sport Edition and add after market leather for a few hundred bucks and pocket the extra $4500+. I know my 2004 came with the rear sound, and 120 Volt converter, home link and I've never used any of them either.

2005 Limited 4WD

If anyone near San Diego is interested in a 2005 Limited 4WD V8, there's one on the way soon to San Diego. I got the email message below from a sales person, but I told him I don't want the Limited. The message is below for anyone that's interested.

Thanks, after reviewing, it is obvious that the SE is a much better deal then the Limited. If anyone wants leather buy the SE and add after market leather interior and pocket what's left of the $5K difference in pricing. You will get a better looking vehicle for a lot less money. I can't believe that they use the same wheels and black roof rack on the SR5 and Limited and upgrade these two items on the SE??? You would think that the Limited would get the nicest extra's not the SE. What is even more amazing to me is the difference in price between the SE and a GX470, lets see about $15,000.00 more for leather and the DVD WOW, plus the SE is better looking. Every time I pass a GX470 I feel like a genius

Dave,

I didn't see an SE on the Canadian site. What gives, the Canadians don't like the obnoxious SE hood? ;)

Actually, I prefer the SE for several reasons but I do wish I could order the AC with the two zones like on the Limited. My wife and I have two different climate preferences.

I think the Limited is priced right. It pretty much comes with everything for a lot less than other similarly equipped SUVs - the Lexus for example.

Anyways, here is hoping that my ordered SE V-8 4x4 is on a boat on its way over.
