high beam low beam

i searched but to no avail. im sure its possible and im sure its been done i just want to know how. what modifications to the headlight relays does it take to have the high beams and the lows beams(with fogs) on at the same time? i want to be able to keep my HID's(low beams) on while being able to use my high beams, when needed, as to avoid the start up delay on the HID's.

From the factory, the low beams remain on when the high's kick in, it's only the fog lights that turn off when you switch to high beams. There is a mod that allows you independent control of the fog lights, very simple, took me about five minutes to do.

Here you go:
Toyota 4Runner Independent use of Fog Light Mod

Absolute must if you put HID's in your fog lights. As you can tell from my avatar I've done this mod to mine too.

Question for anyone familiar with the fog light mod:

I noticed in the mod link from AJ his pictures showed the parking lights and fog lights on together. If you have automatic daytime running lights and perform the fog light mod, would the fog lights then run during the day too?

You choose when the lights are on. The switch can turn them off at any time. If you want the fogs on, just twist the switch and they are on, regardless of what other lights are on/off.
