muffler help

so a year ago i cut off my muffler and resonator, and had my exhaust dump right in front of the axle, and i gotta say, it sounds awesome. loud on startup, loud at idle, loud when driving. i would not want to make it any quieter (louder if i could lol). but ive been thinkin alot lately, did i kill all my backpressure by cutting off both muffler and resonator and leaving the straight? if i install a muffler, will it give me more backpressure, thus increasing power a bit? but, i dont want to subtract from the sound.. any ideas on a good muffler that will increase power and not subtract from sound? ive been reading through a couple threads, but most people dont want something as loud as me, so they shop for quieter mufflers. any personel experience, links, or videos would be great. thanks

neither really gives any power boost, but flowmaster 44 is fairly loud- Flowmaster Super 44 - Two Chamber Mufflers or cherrybomb vortex-- VORTEX Muffler Sound clip... - YotaTech Forums

I'd leave it. I chopped my v6 the same way and didn't notice any loss of power. I'll be doing the same to my v8 here in a few days.
