Roof Basket, Roof Rack, and Sliders Question

Ok guys so now that I've done lots of great mods to my 4runner, the sport edition tube roof rack and running boards just don't look good anymore. I was wondering what are some good looking as well as functioning baskets and rock sliders that I could put on to match the now aggressive off road look my 4runner now has. Here is a picture for ideas.

Here are my suggestions. This thread is a little old so you may have already figured it out.

Sliders- Demello or Shrockworks (Hands down the two best out there currently)

Roof rack- Baja Rack if you don't want to break the bank, or GOBI if you do.

I'd also suggest getting a real bumper and ditching the shopping cart guard. Demello is about to finish their design as an alternative to Shrockworks and ARB.

See I would love to get a new bumper but I have wimpy 2wd, and I don't think for one that 2wd could handle the extra weight very well plus it would be a little pointless.

There are some pretty nice built 2wd rigs on this forum. Im sure your rig could handle the bumper, just need to get the right springs so you dont sag too much. And it definitely isnt pointless.

Well why get sliders then? I say just ditch the running boards and call it a day!

and also, I love my Bajarack. Be prepared for quite a bit of an increase in wind noise though.

Since you wanted to get sliders, and run MT tires, I assumed you do at least some moderate off-roading, in which case a bumper would be functional. The grille guards are not functional for anything other than mounting lights, and are actually poked fun of in the off-road community. A defiant light bar would look good as an alternative to a full front bumper.

I'm not sure what 2wd has to do with weight management though. Perhaps you meant that you have a V6? Either way, it doesn't effect anything other than your front suspension. You need proper coils to support the weight, but as far as your truck goes, it's no more weight than a small passenger so you would be fine.

Those are all great points guys thank you for getting through to me. I guess I'll just save up some money and get me a bajarack and some shrockworks sliders and front bumper. Also on the suspension part I have Bilstien 5100 adj. with fj springs, would that handle it? Also im running a top and preload spacer on those, is the dangerous and bad for those kind of shocks?

By adj. do you mean they are adjustable? Adjustable how? Can you change the ride height?

Yea adjustable, on the bilstien 5100 adjustables there is a plate where the bottom of the spring sits on the shock and its help up by a ring that you can move up and down the shock

Then you will be fine. If you get a bumper you'll just need to adjust them about 1/2" higher to counter the weight.

Aight cool man thanks for your help. Just to make sure on my other question, having spacers on those shocks are fine right, like they are not going to cause any problems are they?
