removing ball joint stud for new shicks? HELP PLEASE!

I am trying to remove my struts to put on new shocks but the bolt that holds the ball joint will not come out of the spindle. can anybody give me some hints. my instructions say to not use a ball joint seperator.

I just did mine this afternoon. The pics in the link from the last post before mine were great.

I didn't remove the bolt from the ball joint but removed the 2 that hold the ball joint and connect the lower arm to the hub.

stop stop stop.....you do not need to unhook the ball joint....just unblot the end link, two lower control arm bolts and unbolt the top and bottom of the shock. thats it.

follow blk bettys link to the 120 site. it's the same link i printed out and used in the garage a few weeks ago when i did my FJ swap.
