1 inch front end lift now noisy, NEED HELP
I recently had a 1 inch Daystar lift put on my car. Now when I'm driving there is a strange noise coming from the suspension when I jerk the steering wheel side to side and when I drive on a bumpy road. Kind of like a clicking noise, but doesn't do it continuously. Was it a bad install?? Is there anything I can Do?? CRAP!!!
PLEASE HELP!

Thanks!
Wow! If that's all, then I'll check it now.
Thanks!

I agree with CJ3.
Also check the lower shock mount. If you over torque those mounts then it can cause them to squek or tick. I did this on a dodge pickup before. It made a helluva racket until I losened them and torqued to the proper amount.

2 of the 3 are a slam dunk if you have a torque wrench. that 3rd one is a PITA!
Just make sure you have properly torqued every nut and bolt to it's respective torque requirements.

The magic number is 47lb/ft. After you torque two with the proper wrench your arm/wrist will be semi-calibrated and close enough for the 3rd IMHO.

I have the same issue on my 05 limited with x-reas with the daystar lift on the front. Does anyone know what the correct torque specs are for those 3 top bolts?

Working Great!!!
This fix worked great! Thanks to all of you. While inspecting the torque on most of the suspension, I came to find out that my stabilizing bar linkage was barely hand tight! That will be the last time that mechanic works on my truck.
Here are the Daystar 1"lift instructions for torque specs
20. Lower the vehicle onto the ground and tighten the upper strut tower 10mm nuts S10518. Torque to 35 foot-pounds. (3 on each side)
21. RETORQUE ALL BOLTS AFTER 500 MILES.

Good news!
Not that it matters much but the 35lb/ft is from the spacer instructions, correct? The 47 I posted is from the '06 FSM. BTW, FWIW I'd use the spacer instructions torque.
Glad it's fixed
