The driver's side is taller and the coil has 1/2 to 1 more turn - don't worry about the color.

I read somewhere to make sure they are from a 4wd to get some lift. I don't know if they are.
I read different posts about the color codes, but I can't tell what color are these. I can't see colors pretty well. Thanks for the help.

I can not tell ya' if from 4wd. However counting coils leads me to believe the one the left is the drivers side.

I didn't get any hits when I searched this thread for "lean". Since the FJ coils are a different length (driver vs. passenger side) does that mean it compensates for the lean you can get with lift coils that are equal lengths?
Edit: The reason I'm asking is to know whether or not to order the 1/4" front spacer and the OME rear trim spacer from Toytec.
Thanks in advance,
Evan

I just did my swap today. What a difference -- it should ride like this from the factory.
I set my 5100's for 0.85". These measurements aren't exactly scientific, either, I could by off by a quarter of an inch based on where my head was looking at the measuring tape and where I placed it -- but I tried to get them close.
I should have measured from the running boards as well, I think it would have been a better indicator. I can say that the truck looks a lot more level now, and looks like it sits a bit higher than the numbers indicate. Overall a great improvement and a great compromise between staying close to the stock height, levelling the truck, but beefing up the suspension a bit. I'll try to get some pictures up.
Waiting until next week on tires (will go to 265/65/18).

score
I scored myself a whole set of FJ suspension this past weekend, that only had 3,000 miles on em for a whopping $200!!!! now, to get a spacer to "level" and convince the mechanic at work to install em!

Posting my results from the FJ coil swap, bilsteins upgrade.
Before.
Right front - 32 5/16"
Left front - 32 5/8"
Right rear - 35 7/8"
Left rear - 35 1/4"
After- bilsteins set at 1.75 and daystar rear spacer 1.5
Right front - 36 1/8"
Left front - 36 5/16"
Right rear - 38 1/2"
Left rear - 37 3/4"
My question is why 3/4" difference in the rear, is that too much?
Btw, love the ride.

I bought a set of 2010 FJ Coils off a guy and have read that they may require some modification to fit a 4th Gen ('06). I've tried searching but can't find WHAT the modification is. I'll be mounting them to a new set of Bilstein 5100's Front and Rear.

The coils don't require modification, just the strut. Not an issue for you since you're using Bilsteins.

That is good to hear. What are the suggested measurments to take before/after the lift?

None are necessary but most guys measure the fender heights and some guys also do the running board heights at the front and back.
Here are some compiled measurements.

So is it pretty much confirmed that 2010 and newer springs will work, just not he shocks without modification?
I just found a whole set with less than 5k miles for $125, all shocks included too (although i'd probably go Bilstein.)

I just finished mounting front coils from a 2012 FJ Trail Teams onto 4Runner Bilstein 5100s. No issues. The plan is to install them on the 4runner in 2 weeks.

Yeah, no issues what-so-ever during install EXCEPT that my FJ front spring colors didn't match anything I could find online. So luckily, one was slightly taller and went on the drivers side. I'll have to check my colors later to post up.
