By any chance when swapping with the FJ suspension, I noticed that the toytec body lift is cheaper than the springs. Should I go for the 3 inch body lift and wait to save money. I was thinking about doing the Icon stage 5 suspension with modified high clearance lower control arms.

Just swapped my suspension out this weekend (5100s all around with 07-09 FJC coils)! My question is how long should i wait for everything to settle before i get my truck aligned?

I'd say a day or 2, I wouldn't wait too long afterwards. I'm planning on doing my suspension swap on Saturday with an alignment scheduled for the following Monday morning.

Any pictures with the new FJ suspension?

Got it, I’ll see if I can squeeze in somewhere later this week then. Just nervous because I netted a little over 3” (unsettled)in the front, set the strut at 1.75 but it leveled me right out. I think the rear is about 1/4” higher technically, I’d have to double check what I got for measurements. Here’s a crappy phone pick thoughCompiled: FJ Springs Lift Info for 4th gen-img_4627-jpg

Thanks - I keep going back and forth between setting the front to the second (.85") setting or leaving it on the stock setting and adding a 1/4" top out spacer. I'm not planning on lifting the rear right now so I'd like to keep the lift to around 1.5"-2" total.

There’s a great spreadsheet and thread that was put together that should help you answer that question believe Ark_runner started it

Oh yea, I've seen it.

Is your T4R a V6 or V8?

ok, so what needs to be modified on the strut to make a set from a 2010+ work? I found a Toytec Ultimate kit for sale locally, but it's for 10+ 4Runner & 10+ FJ Cruiser...

2005 V6 4x4. Original x-reas system was starting to go, rear right shock was leaking(DEC 19'). Had already been digging into this thread like crazy, tons of great info and setups, so thanks all! Had the job done mid March this year.

Bilstein 5100 all around, front @ 1.75
OEM FJ coils front and rear(2012 4x4)
1" Cornfed rear spacer
1.25" Spidertrax
265/70/17 Hankook DynaPros for now....

Measured from ground through center of wheel to fender.

Before
Right Front - 33.75
Left Front - 33.5
Right Rear - 36.12
Left Rear - 36.25

After
Right Front - 36.5
Left Front - 36.25
Rear - 37.75 both sides

First page, original post. Not sure if this applies to the ultimate kit though. Toytec could probably clear that up for you.

Just completed the swap over the weekend.

I deleted the XREAS system with 5100s all around. I left the rear springs stock and swapped just the fronts with new OEM 4x4 FJ springs. I set the clip on the bottom/stock setting. As noted from other members, I gained, pretty much, exactly an inch of lift with that combination.

If anyone is interested in doing this swap, I have a used set of front 4x4 FJ springs and a pair of brand new Wheelers 1/4" top out spacers I didn't end up using. Looking to sell to anyone who is interested.

I had to get new LCAs and the Boss kit fits just fine in them. so I answered my own question, haha.

Got new OEM FJ springs and 5100s for my 05 V8. It has 245k on the original shocks and struts, so it will probably look lifted with everything at the lowest setting.
