Sorry if anyone has asked this on the thread but it is regarding the RAS(rear air suspension).

I have almost 400k(kms) on my all original XREAS and RAS suspension. The RAS still works and I find it quite nice and the shocks are done now. I would like to keep the RAS if possible but it would always linger in the back of my mind when it would fail.

Should I bite the bullet and do the conversion in the rear or just replace the fronts and rear shocks. I will get some MOOG FJ coild for the front with 5100s and maybe get the HD shocks for the rear as I heard they are better.

Any advice is much appreciated . Its expensive to get these parts in Canada so trying to keep the cost relatively low.

Hi, I have done this conversion a couple of years ago. Costed me around $500. But if you can do with just the shocks and coils I would suggest keeping the RAS. It would not fail on you, and if it does you can always do the conversion.
I saw a same conversion kit , someone was selling on kijiji in Calgary for $400 brand new.

FJ springs all the way around, 5100's set at 1.75 & a 1" daystar spacer in the rear.
Very happy with the ride, firm not harsh & I don't need the air bags to handle the travel trailer anymore.

Moog fl crusier 4wd coil on 2wd

Ive been looking though the pages and trying to figure out can you run the moog 81108 fj cruiser front coils on a 2006 4 runner sport 2wd and be fine? Currently I have the 4 runner on the toytech 5100 adjustable coil overs and eibach 1.5" springs in the rear. I was looking at putting the moog 81108 on new 5100 set the ring on the 3rd spot to level out with the 1.5" spring in the rear or should I only set it at the 2nd ring to level it out? Any info would help a lot thank!

Looks sweet! Which FJ springs did you buy for the rear? Moog 81045, Old Man Emu/ARB 2895, Toytech? I'm looking at doing the 3rd Gen Tacoma suspension swap and trying to figure which coils will work best in the rear.

The Moog cheap on ebay or amazon, but the pigtail on the axle end is pinched a little too tight, I had to work with it

Can I use these?

I read a post from LTDRC that said he used Tacoma front struts & spring on his 4runner. I pick up a 05 V8 sport tomorrow and was wondering if 2005-2015 front struts/springs will work on it? Can someone verify it?

I pick up a 05 V8 tomorrow and I have a line on some Taco front struts/springs...

Hey John, your ride looks great! Did you happen to measure your before and after from hub to fender? I'm curious what kind of lift you ended up getting.

I went a different route for my suspension and got way more lift than I was expecting and I'm wondering if it's too much and I'll need to mess with a new UCA. I've already had my CV axle boot split, but that's not surprising on a rig with 160K on it.

People talk about needing new UCAs with a 3" or more lift, but that doesn't tell much when you're comparing to a saggy old suspension. What's the baseline for the 3" to start from? It seems like what I really need to know is, at what hub to fender measurement do I need to worry about new UCAs?
