Just a quick comment to anyone looking for an on road setup. I installed FJ springs plus the Bilstein 4600's, got about 0.5" of lift (maybe a bit more in the front as my old springs were close to 200k miles), and the ride is excellent. Better than the XREAS by far! Thanks to Bluesky_07 for the help!

What's your ride? V8 or V6?

My 05 Lift

2012 FJ springs, 5100's, 1" Cornfed spacers out back and front struts set to 1.75" of lift. Love the height and how she rides. Took about 3 weeks to break in. Now a much smoother ride.

So is this a recent manufacturing problem with the MOOG springs? I see older posts with no issues mentioned then bad fitment but was able to get them in posts to now they just won't fit without major trimming or heating.

Drinking from a firehose!

Reading this thread is so informative that I am very very confused now.

I just snagged a set of old FJ springs and front shocks (assembled, yay!). No idea the mileage, but can I just put those on my 04 SR5? I also got the rear springs. I'm just gonna go get a pair of stock shocks and replace the rear. My stuff is all completely clapped out, so this will make a difference. I ordered a 1/4" spacer for the front too, am I on the right track? I'd love 5100's but after buying new rear shocks, I'll be about $200 in. Limp weiner deal for sure. Am I good to go? Am I gonna get a little lift out of this setup? Gah!

Love from Montana.

Do you have any other angle shots of this setup? and do the 4G spacers fit fine with the FJ springs?

hey y’all just got all of my parts to rejuvenate my ‘06 V8 Limited 4WD. I did prowl this forum for months reading all the options, I decided to get Moog OE springs and the 5100’s for my Runner. I am not a hard core off roader anymore and wanted the plush ride I have had for years driving the best vehicle I have ever owned. 218,000 mi and runs like the day I bought it in ‘13 second owner btw. Will post pics after I install before/after but I have to go out of town for a week sooo might be a couple of weeks.

@LetsFlyMan ,
I love the way your ride sits.
What size tires are you running?

I ask because I'm about to get new tires, and I like the look of the size you have.

Thanks!

Also how are the Moog front Springs? I know the rear ones are garbage that's why I'm looking at these other ones.... I was just going to pay the extra money and get the Emu but I could almost get my brush guard for the difference in price alone....

Did you end up trying these springs out? I saw the on Amazon, and thinking to give them a shot.

Getting some great ideas from this thread for my 08’ V6 2wd. Question is there any difference going with the factory FJ springs compared to anything aftermarket for the FJ? Or is there anything aftermarket besides OEM?

this looks cool man, I might do this because I put spidertrax spacers on the other week and now have to stop my tires from rubbing the fenders. i was going to trim the fender but I don't wanna ruin the body more than I have to.
