Just bought 2004 Limited V8
It was a one-owner, 147k, rust-free, excellent condition steal at $5,500. Headlights were replaced, new radiator. I think the only issues are DRL bulb out ($7) and a slow leak in the steering rack and a blown subwoofer. She drives smooth as silk. Love it!

2003 4runner Limited v8 4wd
I got mine for 5k. It seemed like a good deal with the v8, 4wd, leather, and being the Limited trim. It did need a timing belt almost right away because of the mileage (210k). Other things are just normal maintenance.

2004 SR5 with 83,000 miles on it for $11,500. I've looking for a while and this one popped up on craigslist in San Jose. Best price for the least miles I could find for a V6 in the west.
My avatar is my 2003 SR5 V6. I sold it in 2015 and bought a F250 Super Duty diesel. I wish I still had my 2003, so I'm selling the truck and now have the 2004.
I paid $13,000 for the 2003 in 2013 and it had 132,000 miles on it.

$900 for a 2004 SR5 w/283,000 miles with bad 4.0 and found a replacement 4.0 for $900
I'm Happy.. Not perfect but in decent shape and everything works fine.

$8000 for my 2007 SR5 with 160k on it and bone stock last fall. Incredibly well maintained and the cleanest underneath compared to every other 4Runner and GX470 I looked at in Wisco. The fact so many people don't do rust proofing yet live where they salt the roads boggles my mind. It is a necessity.

Paid $6000 cash for my 2005 V-6 SR5 4WD with 145,000 miles. Best decision I ever made when it comes to buying a used car. Was looking around for 2 weeks when I found one for sale 6 hours away and yes that is where I went to get this one xD

After reading though this thread it seems I may have overspent a little, 03 V8 4x4 SE with 168k for $7900. The good thing is I am second owner and the first owner was meticulous about keeping it up and it shows!

We just picked up our 2003 SR5 with 80,438 miles. We are the second owners and it was garaged from day one. Original owner bought it with 241 miles on it, we have the original title. Absolutely showroom condition!
OH YEAH, we paid $7000! I think we got an OK deal?

Being in Colorado any 4x4 Toyota is ridiculously over priced here. But I picked up our 07 SR5 with 120k on it for 11k. It was literally the best condition one for the price/mileage/year. Little old couple had it before us. And they babied the hell out of the thing. The interior doesn’t look like it’s ever been sat it, completely clean. No stains anywhere. Exterior is is almost perfect condition, minus a couple paint chips on the the fender.
It’s our family car and I’m okay with the price based on everything I’ve seen here. We got it for a “steal” based on our region.

Bought my 2006 Limited 4x4 with around 47k miles on it in 2012 for $17k. I've babied her and the only thing I've had to do to her repair-wise was to replace a leaky steering rack about three years ago and replace a leaky water pump yesterday. She's got 99,764 miles as of today. Did the 100k service with front, rear diff., xfer case, and engine oil change, brake fluid flush, ps fluid flush, and coolant flush yesterday, going to get an alignment and transmission fluid filter change and full fluid exchange tomorrow (no pressure flush!) tomorrow. The tech at the service shop raved about how great a condition she's in.
