4wd!

In November 2013 I paid about $10k for 2004 V8 4WD with 147k on the clock, and had the timing belt/water pump replaced. Only one previous owner.

I paid 8k for my 2007 SR5 4x4 with 123k miles back in 08/2018. Odometer currently reads 168k but I think it's closer 209k. The motor and transmission still runs strong.

2005 Limited V8 4wd 169k miles... paid $3000. Registration was $88 @ tag office. I have about another $800 in parts and repairs this includes the timing belt and waterpump that I still have to install.

I paid $11,000 for a 2008 SR5 with 127,000 miles on it in May of 2019. My truck died and I wanted a 4runner and there are not a lot of them around N.E.Ohio without rust and this one was clean. I probably paid to much but that is what happens when you are in a hurry. I plan on keeping it as long as I can and it now has 135,000 on it with no problems. I also go tall the service records for the truck from Toyota and it was well taken care of before I got it.

Paid $5000 CDN for a 03 v8 limited with only 90,000k on it (From a family friend)

Down side is that it came from out east where they salt heavily and was stored in a garage for years.

Some bad surface rust going on but all manageable .. I hope.

Paid another $6000 in repairs and upgrades throughout the year.
Next project is to replace the leaky and broken sunroof and hopefully get the frame sandblasted.

Would somebody invest another 4000 in sandblasting and epoxy coating professionally? Or just d.i.y it and wirewheel and Rattle can primer it?

Maintenance: omg how did I forget maintenance as per the CarFax was as if toyota him self maintained it!!!! Every record indicates the exact services that are needed and nice to have.
Details: 3 owner, rust free all its registered life from Georgia to Florida. 0 accidents!!!! Clean inside and out, paint is obvi crap but it’s a old sun kissed truck, seats are cloth and amazingly clean!!! Carpets are clean.
New tires, brakes, oil change and whatever the last major service that was required at 90k belts etc...

$7500 for a 2003 SR%. 170K miles. Technically it's my daughter's, but I gave her the loan, so it's mine for right now.

I paid $6k for my 2005 Limited V8 4x4, 136k, 1 owner

June 2003 I paid $38,000 for a loaded 4WD limited just off the boat. It has 346,356 miles today.

2003 Sport, $10k in 2014, it was just turning 100,000.
Which is why the guy sold it.
He was one of 'those' guys who sells his vehicle at 100,000 miles.

2005 SR5 V8 with leather interior, sunroof, 17" wheels, and 109,000 miles for $7,800.

I bought it for $1000 off my aunt, but came with its cons

Just picked up a super clean 2006 Limited for $13500 at 146k miles. I know it is a bit steep, but I am in Colorado and anything that was remotely in decent shape went for about the same price, and stayed on the market for a day or two at most.

I love my new wheels, and am super pumped to finally have clearance.

Care to elaborate?
