CLE OH, Paid $15,000 for a very clean 06 Sport with 73k in 2015, it was lost in a garage fire. Went to Louiville KY and grabbed another Sport almost just like it to replace it.
I paid $12,500 for a very clean 07 Sport with 80k in 2018, it was actually from lower Virginia and rust free.

Mines a 2005 V8 Limited 4x4 with 145k miles. It was a one-owner truck with service records including recent timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and serpentine belt replacements. Not a drop of rust on it, but some of the clear coat is peeling on roof. I paid $12k In February 2020. I feel I paid the “Toyota Tax” out in California, but I’m still happy with what I got on plan on keeping it a long time.

2007 4x4 Sport 222,000 miles $6,500. Needs some love though. New radiator, all new fluids and new CVs in the front. Maybe lower ball joints. Going to do them while the axles are out.

2006 4Runner SR5 4WD with 191k miles. Bought it in Los Angeles but it's not a lifetime California rig. Bought it for $4800, it needed valve cover gaskets and a few other small things. The interior is minty, I think it was a decent deal.

03 4.7L Limited.
Bought in 2016 with 120k miles from a small independent dealer for $9.5k.
Had the timing belt and water pump done at time of purchase as a part of the deal.
It was a PA vehicle, and purchased in OH, so does have rust underneath but frame is solid.
But super clean inside and out with great paint and leather.
Currently has just under 185k miles.
Have done all fluids, serpentine belt, rear brakes and rotors, Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust, front wheel hubs and suspension since owning.
But has been flawless in terms of reliability.

A couple years back we paid 18k for a 2007 Limited, bone stock, one owner, with 72k miles on it. V6 4wd in Titanium. We just tripped 120k and she is still going strong!

I just bought my first 4R.
2004 Limited V8 4X4 with 173k on the clock. Runs unbelievably well and has an excellent service history.
Paid $7500. Not a steal and not a rip off but totally worth it to me. The frame did have a small hole in it but otherwise its in good shape. Luckily I have a friend whos been fixing Toyota frames for years.
Besides getting wrecked. There's no reason this truck shouldn't last me at least 10 years.

This was last July but picked up an 06 sport V8 with 110k. One owner and full service records from the local Toyota dealership for 13k. Have 130k on it now and it runs like champ.

Just Picked up a 2007 SR5 2WD V8, 99,956 miles. New Bridgestone all round, recent oil change. Show room condition (Really). $12,100.00. How this car has been driven this long and no rock chip from Texas Hwys, I don' think anyone has ever ridden in the back seat. The hitch receiver still has the black paint inside. It must have been owned by a female engineer with no kids, no smoke and no pets. Crazy!
No history that the timing belt/ water pump was ever changed. That was the first maintenance item done. ($880.00)
I hope my new friend will out last me. 66years of life is a good thing.

What did everyone pay for their 4th gen?
2008 V6 SR5 premium with 160k miles. Paid price of $12,750. After taxes and dealer fees it was just shy of $15k out the door. This was July 2020.
Zero rust and I mean zero (Utah vehicle).
