Rough Ride

I've done a search for this and came up with nothing.

I recently (6 months ago) installed the daystar 2.5 comfort ride front spacer in truck. About 1 month ago the truck has seemed to get A LOT rougher in the ride. I know it's a truck and I know it has a spacer. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with the daystar spacer. Seems to me the rubber would make the ride softer but I'm thinking about switching to the toytec spacer if this is the reason for the rough ride I am now getting. I have 45k on the truck and it does have x-reas shocks. HALP before I start replacing stuff

I can't say for sure about the spacer, but I can tell you FJ springs are HANDS DOWN the way to go. I had XREAS on my V8 4x4 Sport. Now I have FJ springs and Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. I honestly didn't think there would be that much difference, even though other members say there is. I was amazed. The new ride is awesome, and I got the 1.5-2" lift up front that I wanted. FJ springs alone will help you, but I'm not sure about them with your existing spacer. I would guess for the cost of the springs (cheap, sometimes free) and a DIY project, you could try that first.

I have had the daystar 2 piece spacer lift installed for 4 years and it is no rougher riding than when it was stock.

I agree with Chaz, look at your front shocks

The comfort ride doesn't even go into the strut assembly, it sits on top... Shouldn't do anything for the ride quality.
