Cargo Cover Clips?

Hi all, I recently purchased a cargo or tonneau cover for the back of my Runner from Ebay. However, I was wondering if this thing just kinda slides in those holes with the bolt and the two slits in the rear cargo area of Runner or do I have to buy "cradle-like" clips to hold it in place? It fits if I depress the springs on the ends of the cargo cover and slide it in the holes but I remember from my 2002 4Runner, the cargo cover slid in place starting from the top which would make it almost impossible to slide out.
Thanks for your help,
Snes

Would anybody mind looking at their setup and letting me know?
Thanks!

The factory one on the 4th gen just goes in the holes and pulls out into the cutouts.

The cover has spring loaded ends that you push towards the middle and it sits in square holes on the cargo side walls. When the cover is closed, it slides into slots on end. There isn't any brackets that hold the cover in place other that slot piece when cover is closed.

Here are bad pics of it. (I took these pics for the liners.) If you need, I can get better pics tomorrow. Truck's outside and it's pouring now.

The slot (by the top of the taillight) is where the cover latches onto when the cover is closed.

Right on Uneek! That is what I was looking for. I wanted to find out if the spring loaded ends just inserted in those square holes. Seems like a rather large G-force or bump could potentially knock it out of place! Nevertheless, I thank you for you time.

As Uneek said, the spring loaded ends just fit into the two side sockets. I have not had mine come out in the 8 years I have had it. Also, there are 4 straps with 'c' clips that clamp around the rear seat headrest posts to hide the area between the rail and seat backs.

I have an 07. I found a cargo cover on the Bay. hooks up nicely on the front end but when I drew it out i realized I didn't have any place to hook it. The 07 has four removable covers two at the front for the spring loaded ends on the cover but the covers at the rear don't accept the ends of the cover. Anyone know where to find these parts???

Are you sure you don't have the two molded recesses on either side, just above the separation between the lower and upper panels? They would be roughly inline with the top of the tail lights, and just before the panels start to curve into the rear corner post. You can see them in the photo in the post quote you replied to. There should be two plastic tips, one on each side of part of the cover that pulls out, that fit into these to keep the cover in the extended position. You pull the cover into the lower part of these openings, lift it up a bit, and let it retract back so these tips rest on the small supports molded into the recess. If your vehicle has the recessed sockets to hold the cover rail just behind the rear seat, then you should have the support recesses near the tailgate.
