Level with XREAS-POSSIBLE?

I ordered Daystar 1" leveling kit last night online. Called 4Wheel Parts in town to check on labor for install. The guy says he cannot install a levelling kit on a ride with XREAS. Is he full of it? It seems there have been a lot here who have done it.

Are there any negative effects. He says "too many onboard computer systems that will mess up if you change the yaw on that suspension....yadayadayada..... go check out OME and call me back."

I really don't have the cash for a full on suspension replacement, just would like the levelling kit. Any suggestions here. I think he either is full of it or doesn't know what he is talking about.

And from my understanding XREAS isn't connected to any type of computer system or traction control, which is something he said. XREAS is independent isn't it?

No reason at all you can't use it, he's full of it. It also isn't connected to any sensors.

LOL, you should have asked him to tell you about yaw rate (or velocity) and then make fun of him for not knowing that a leveling lift doesn't do anything to change the yaw rate.

I realize this is a boat, but it still applies to yaw rates on a car. A leveling lift will slightly alter the vehicle's pitch, but not the yaw or roll rotation.

he's full of it. Xreas is a purely mechanical system. They make excuses like this when they don't wanna deal with a system they are not familiar with...

I had 4wheel parts install my Daystar. They just need to make sure that they don't disconnect the hydraulic lines. I would call them back and talk to someone else.

I would run, and run fast away from that place. Find somewhere else to do the install.

I thought this guy was full of it. I'm no mechanic, but I'm not an idiot. I think he was trying to get me to buy a more expensive suspension lift. Thanks to all who responded.

I just finished installing the daystar 2.5/1.5 2 hours ago. The only thing it changes is the alignment. There is nothing to worry about.

BTW, I am a mechanic. For lexus.
