Question Wet Okole Owners - ?s about order options

I will be buying my first set of Wet Okole seat covers within the month. I have done a 'mock order' on their website but wanted to ask a few questions before I lay my money down.

I have a 2005 SR5 with charcoal cloth interior. 99% sure I don't have side airbags (There are no labels, markings, or other indications of such).

Specifically;
For the rear seats did you order as "middle" or "rear"?

For the question "Do your front seats recline?" did you choose yes or no? Does it make much of a difference?

Will they know to have a section for the rear seat's food tray/cup holder pullout?

I have seen pics of the front seat pockets but am not completely sold on them. How would you honestly rate the look and quality? IMO they look like they are just slapped on and don't really match the overall style.

I'm not in a CCW County or state, could the Gun Tote be useful for other items like a cellphone or ipod?

Thanks everybody for your feedback! I am eager to get these ordered and installed!

Just ordered a set for mine. The rear is 60/40 split. As far as side airbags go for the 05s im not sure. The side of your seat should have a label. Called the store in costa mesa and ordered.

Trdmedic-

Thanks for the info! Have you received your covers? If so what are your impressions?

I like mine. High quality. Been using them for 2 years now with no wear or problems.

Zimm,

I see that there is a cover on your center console also. Did that come with the order? I can't recall seeing anything on the Wet Okole order page for the center console between the bucket seats.

Are the inserts black to match the sides? I really like how well they blend with your interior! Have you done any shampoo or conditioning for the covers?

They threw the center cover in as well. It looks like a shower cap and was a very tight fit onto the center console. You can see the lines where it was folded up in the picture. After a few weeks it smoothed out and looks fine.

Be patient on the install, it takes some work to get everything on properly. But once the straps are all cinched down, it'll be good to go. If I remember right I had a heck of time getting the bottom cushion rear tie downs down through the seat.

I have not receieved it yet but will post pics as soon as they are on. Yeah center console was free with two rows ordered. I got all black with full silver pipping and "4runner" logo.
I have had it on every single vehicle I've own. Love em. Fit and finshed is very nice. Look through this thread on tacomaworld to give you an idea.

I've heard of some saying that the seat covers have a bit of a funky smell to them that nevers seems to come out even after shampooing.

Do you guys notice that?

Oh yeah- they smell at first- like a scuba shop- all neoprene stinks at first. But that goes away. No need for that shampoo- mine have never smelled in 2 years of use. Just vacuum like normal seats.

Mine are four years old and there's no smell or aroma from them.

I give 'em a wipe down from time to time with one of the shampoos and cleaner.

I only ordered the front seats as the rear ones do not get much seat traffic.

Yes, they were a bear to get installed at first but the process goes well if you take the time and don't rush it.

These are fantastic seat covers!

Thanks for the input guys.

I have been considering ordering these for a few months now (have the swatches already) but a concern for me was the wife's reaction when I order these spending that kind of moeny then they have a funky smell that she doesn't like.

I need some advice from yall that have them. I have to drive 3hours (Houston to Austin) 4x/month, 9 months/yr. At least 1 of those times, and possibly 2x/month, my dog will throw up in the back seat. Not bringing her is not an option, and I'm tired of having stains on the backseat (I put a towel down, which helps, but the dampness seeps through. So...

Leather v. okole for dog throw up? Haha, thanks all.

Center console cover

Zimm,

You described the center console cover as a shower cap. Does it cover the food tray that pops open? I use my food tray from time to time. Overall would it be an impairment or no big deal?

Thanks again!

Ready to order this weekend. Did you guys submit any "notes/special instructions"? I am concerned about the cup holder in the rear seat pull-down. Any suggestions?
