Light Help

My Birthdays coming up and my girlfriend doesn't know what to get, so I said maybe either an HID kit for my headlights or some lights to mount on my bumper. What do you think i should get & Which Kind of Lights on my Bumper would be the best for around $200?

If you have an '06+ 4runner (or '06 up headlights) an HID kit would be nice. I have the philips 6000k kit and it is great. I got it for about $200 online.

For on the bumper lights I recommend PIAA or LightForce. I have PIAAs and love them but I have heard a ton of good things about LightForce as well. I also really like the way PIAAs look with the aggressive stone covers. Both are about $200, for a set of LF-170s or PIAA 520s. KCs and Hellas are little cheaper, I think, but the ones I've seen weren't as bright as PIAA or LF.

As to which you should get, that really depends on whether you want the extra light with your lows and all the time, or just when you have your high beams on. Also the '06 thing for HIDs, it's a bad idea to put HIDs in the 03-05 reflector without doing a retrofit.

you don't have to retrofit an 03-05, you just have to adjust the beam downward. no more getting flashed with highbeams for me
