This sucks!
4runner only has 1500 miles on it and got a flat. Somehow my front left tire got a cut on the inside. The tire deflated imediately and is now ruined.
My problem is I don't think I ran over anything and nobody will replace at no cost. The warranty that came from Toyota would not replace it because it is not a defect from the vehicle.
Dunlop won't replace it because their warranty does not cover road hazzard.
Any suggestions how I can get this tire replaced free of charge???
Funny thing - the same thing happened to me. I had only 1800 miles when my driver side rear tire ran over a nail. The tire was completely destroyed. I had no luck with getting it fixed for free.
However, I talked to the salesman who sold me the 4runner and he was able to convince the service deptartment to get the price of a dunlop down to $65.
Yeah similar thing happened to me but I got a cut near the sidewall so there is no safe way to patch it. I spent $90 for the tire, shipping and mounting.
It was either spend $90 for one or a couple hundred to replace all 4...
Dump the "Duncraps". Take you truck to Discount Tire and get credit for the remaining Dunlaps and get new tires. I did this immediately after I bought my 4R. I rec'd $50 credit per tire and put the Nitto Terra Grapplers on (265/70-17). The Nitto's were on sale to top it off. I only spent a couple hundred bucks for the whole deal.

If your tire is cut on the inside, how would you expect to get it replaced for free??
You must have ran over something to cause that to happen, no?
If I were you, I'd just suck it up and pay for a new tire, especially considering you only have 1500 miles on the other 3 good tires.
Despite the constant badmouthing of the Dunlops on this forum, I think it's a decent tire. I've driven mine through heavy rain at highway speeds and through 12 inches of snow without any problems at all. So I think they are decent street tires. I've never taken them offroad, so I can't even comment on that....
Same thing happened to me except the culprit was a thumb tac in the sidewall. I ordered a new tire from Tire Rack and ate the cost. I can't wait to get rid of these Dunlop's!#$@!
