I don't believe there is just one fuse for the cruise control, as it is linked in to other systems (e.g., brake stop light for canceling cruise when slowing/stopping).
From what I can gather from the electrical diagrams for my 03, the related fuses are the GAUGE fuse, IGN fuse, and STOP fuse - found in the driver's side kick panel.
Based on your problem description, my best guess is a cruise control switch circuit problem or maybe an ECM failure.
If it is not simply a fuse, I'd be taking it to someone more qualified for a diagnosis (i.e. get the codes checked).
