ToyTec 4Runner Ultimate 3" lift package

I have a 2005 Sport with XREAS. I would like to eventually get steel front and rear bumpers but don't want to over burden the stock suspension. I know I'd have to remove the XREAS to get an aftermarket suspension that can handle the weight of the bumpers. What I want to know is, is it expensive to have the XREAS removed and if anyone has the kit installed, how is the handling of your 4Runner compared to before? Thanks!

Did you check the suspension FAQ thread sticky?

I don't have that suspension but there are plenty of members who do. The ride will be more stiff/controlled than stock.

XREAS shouldn't be much more to remove than the factory suspension, it's just a few extra bolts and hoses.

honestly man it rode nicer with the new suspension than with the xreas. Assuming your paying someone to do your lift for you it may be a little more expensive to have the xreas removed since there is more work involved. not a lot though, a couple of bolts and throw that crap in the garbage.

I love how the suspension rides/drives, worth every penny to me IMO. The rear suspension is a little soft so if you tow often get air bags.
