Maybe OT: Parking at JFK airport long term parking ok?
Ok, I need to take a flight to Orange County, CA from JFK. The flights out of EWR (Newark, NJ) are way too expensive. Anyhow, do you guys think it's safe to park the 2 month old 4Runner in a long term parking lot at JFK airport? If I left from EWR, I would still have to park it at the airport.

I always get a ride to Newark or any of my friends that park in long term take the older cars noone may mess with.
The thought of leaving my car at the airport does not sit well, whats the cost to park for the length of time you will be gone

If you're worried about it, just take a car service to the airport. It's not that expensive and you will not be worrying about your new 4Runner every day while you're out in CA.

you could also take the new airtrain that goes to jfk. i havent heard too much about it yet. here are your other options

leaving your car in long term parking will probably cost you more than taking a cab.

I have heard some horror stories from people who parked their car at EWR long term parking (it wasn't there when they came back, windows broken), but nothing from JFK. The thought of parking at the airport longterm parking lot doesn't sit well with me. I always leave my truck in the driveway and take the car service. I don't know if you get them, but sometimes you get a packet of coupons in the mail and there are some good deals with car services. Also, I don't if you live in NJ, but you will find coupons in the Shoper on 9 magazine.

Park in short term parking in a good spot that will keep your 4Runner out of range of all the people coming and going then just throw the ticket out, when you come back tell them you lost it in the airport and they make you pay 20 bucks for a fulls day parking read all fine print 1st and signs
