Pics wanted: Shadow mica w/ black rims
Considering powdercoating my stock se wheels black. Was trying to see how this would look on my shadow mica truck. My only concern is it's so close to black but not actually black. Don't want it to look funny. Thanks in advance!

Personal really really dislike black rims on any vehicle. There is one shadow meca on here that painted there rims the same color as the tube steps and roof rack that looks really good!

Yep, I agree. I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my black SR5. I love black rims.

I think this is shadow mica, it's always hard to tell in low light since it looks black: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/perfor...tml#post718018

I considered doing them a dark gray, a la gaterose, but I'm worried it won't match with my paint

Yes!!
Won't be a problem...they'll find the Color Code on the Driver Side door jam.
You will have to be carless or borrow a set of wheels for a week.
Plus...you need to dismount the tires & give them ONLY the rims.

Did you ever go through with the black plasti on our color? I'm hesitant too because our color isn't exactly black that it might look funny
