Spare Tire Question

I have a simple question: is my spare tire on my 4th gen 4runner temporary or a fully usable spare?

Regular tire on a matching wheel including tpms sensor.

thanks guys for the helpful responses! i realize this isn't 4runner specific, but is there an efficient way to patch up a small hole in the tire? i only ran over a small strip of barbed wire on accident and i'd prefer to keep the tire that i have. it took a full day in the heat for the air to escape to a noticeable low.

Bring it to a tire shop.

Have them dismount the tire, patch it from the inside, mount back on the tire, balance...back to normal.

The full sized spare and good wheel is why they get ripped off.

I will agree with regular tire on a matching wheel, but your spare rim may or may not have a tpms sensor depending on the production year of and/or options on your 4th gen.

My 03 Limited does not have TPMS, and neither does my spare.
