blinking A/C update anybody?

Hey did any of you guys with the blinking A/C light problem ever get it diagnosed? Somebody was going to take theirs to the dealer under warranty. Mine is working again but I would like to know why it keeps doing that because I checked the belts, cabin air filter, hoses and everything seems to be in check. Must be an electrical problem?

My wife finally took ours in yesterday to have it checked out. She said that the service guy told her that it was a relay and that they would have to order one. He also said that they bypassed our 110 to get it to work until then. If someone understands this, please let me in on it because I didn't even realize that we had a 110, or am I thinking wrong. They also want to charge us a $50 deductible since it's now on our extended warranty. :upset: I don't know what that's about either, but plan on finding out.

I've had a few toyotas that had the same problem, seems it was always after splashing through a deep puddle, and the belts got a little wet & may be slipping, it always cured it by shutting off the a/c for a moment & restarting.

That is what I was thinking, but I don't have the inverter that I know of. Does Toyota go ahead and stick in the relay for it even if you don't have it, and my service guy simply used it instead?
