Weak Brake Pedal

This afternoon i experienced my brake pedal slowly falls to the floor. Once I released the pedal and pressed it agian the brakes were frim but after a little bit the pedal started to fad. I don't see any leaks from under the truck. the fluild level is slightly above the min line. I topped off the fluild and I will continue to observe this condition.

I am wondering if there has been a problem across the board with this type of brake issue. I really don't want to replace the master cylinder as that part is not cheap. Any help or ideas would be great.

Air in the lines? Try bleeding them.

Before you go nuts, how old are the pads? Super worn pads can sometimes do this.

Although, it usually doesn't just "happen" like that. More gradual.

Hope so anyway. Good luck

This is the first thing I would try. Good place to start first. Simple and fast check just to eliminate air in the lines..

I second the pads idea, especially since your fluid level was near minimum line. How many miles on your truck?
