Any experience with these NGK's?

Going to be swapping out the sparkplugs in the 4Runner soon, around the next oil change. Been looking for some nice quality plugs and came accross these NGK BKR6EIX-11, seem to be a "high performance" iridium plug. Wonder if anyone has used them already?

go for denzo iridium's and be on your way. I haven't heard anything bad about NGK so go for it, just check the temp range of the plug.

The difference between the high performance and factory NGK is the the factory ones have a solid piece of iridium and platinum ground. The high performance ones have a narrower pointed iridium electrode and no platinum ground. Which is why the factory ones are a little more expensive.

I'm assuming you are talking about the IFR6T11 when you say OE plugs, NGK's website has them listed as "OE Laser Iridium."

I felt that the 4Runner deserved a treat for being such an awesome truck, so Imma splurge on new plugs. Just wanna make sure that they are worth it. I have never had a problem with NGK, they are one of the top manufactuers in my book.

I've tried the Iridium and standard NGK OEM plug...No difference in performance or gas mileage what-so-ever (as expected). However the Iridium do last a lot longer. Although I'm not keen on keeping plugs in there that long.

I've been using NGK plugs for 30+ years. They are by far the best plug for Asian vehicles I've ever used. Have use Denso (use to be called Nippendenso years ago) and they were fine too, but had a problem once with a lot of radio noise so I never bought them again. My 05 4runner came with one side having Denso and the other having NGK.

V8 needs an iridium spark plug or because of 100k mile V8 spark plug intervals it needs iridium?

I run the same model NGK Iridium IXs versus the Denso's since they were slightly cheaper. Noticed it ran smoother after the change, though this was likely due to 1 plug being nearly shot.

Vehicles usually run better after you replace the plugs..no matter what brand you use...Mainly because you're replacing old tired plugs with new fresh plugs. The vehicle should run better.
